Michael Semanchik is the Managing Attorney at the California Innocence Project (CIP). He has worked at CIP since 2011 and has been involved in six exonerations. Semanchik's role at CIP entails not only client representation and student supervision, but also the management of media inquiries. Over the course of his career, Semanchik has appeared in the media dozens of times and pitched hundreds of stories to local, regional, and national news agencies. He received his undergraduate degree from Duquesne University ('07) and his law degree from California Western School of Law ('10).
