Max Tyler

Max Tyler is a native of Atlanta, GA and a graduate of Morehouse College (’13). Max was first introduced to the Georgia Innocence Project (GIP) when a GIP staff member came to speak to his high school class about the problem of wrongful convictions. Max, now a 2L at Emory Law School, worked last fall for GIP as a legal extern, where he also educated youth about wrongful conviction. Max is an active member of the Emory Law community, serving as the Social Chair for the Black Law Students Association, Staff Member for the Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal, Director of Networking and Outreach for Emory’s Sports & Entertainment Law Society and a presenter for Emory’s “Know Your Rights” Program, a group that teaches youth about how to safely interact with law enforcement.
