Hannah Overton, mother of five, was convicted of capital murder on September 7, 2007 after her foster son died of hypernatremia, a rare medical condition. She was sentenced to life without parole at a maximum-security prison and served seven years, but on May 10, 2017 she was declared “Actually Innocent.” Hannah is the Founder of Syndeo Ministries, providing Bible studies, pen pals, hygiene packages, and cooling towels to women in prison, and a discipleship school for women transitioning from prison. Hannah is a liaison for the Texas Coalition for Criminal Justice and a gifted speaker. The documentary Until Proven Innocent: The Hannah Overton Story has aired on Discovery. In June 2018, Hannah gave birth to a treasured baby girl.
