Emily Maw has worked with the Innocence Project of New Orleans (IPNO) since 2003. From 2004-2005 she was legal director, from 2005-2018 she was IPNO’s director and she is now IPNO’s senior counsel, focusing on litigation. She is licensed in Louisiana and Mississippi. Prior to working at IPNO, Emily worked with the Louisiana Crisis Assistance Center for several years as an investigator for capital cases in Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. She also worked at the Texas Defender Service. Emily received her B.L. from the University of Edinburgh and her J.D. from Tulane Law School.
