Bryce Benjet joined the Innocence Project as a senior staff attorney in the summer of 2012. He was previously with the law firm Hull Henricks LLP in Austin, Texas where he concentrated his practice in appellate, administrative, and general civil and commercial litigation. In addition to his civil practice, Bryce represented clients in post-conviction challenges in murder cases. Before joining Hull Henricks LLP, Bryce served as staff attorney to Justice Bea Ann Smith of the Third Court of Appeals of Texas from 2003-2006. From 1999-2003, Bryce was a staff attorney for the Texas Defender Service working on postconviction death penalty matters. He began his legal career as the Judy Clarke Fellow at the Center for Capital Litigation in Columbia, South Carolina. He received a B.A. from Brandeis University in 1995 and his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 1998.
