Andrea Saenz


Andrea joined Brooklyn Defender Service (BDS) in 2016 as a supervisor in the Immigration Practice, on the team that provides deportation defense through the New York Immigrant Family Unity Project, the first-in-the-nation immigration public defender program. Previously, Andrea was a clinical teaching fellow in the Immigration Justice Clinic at the Cardozo Law School, teaching and supervising students in immigration and federal court cases. Andrea has previously worked as an immigration staff attorney at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, a judicial law clerk at the Varick Street Immigration Court, and an Equal Justice Works Fellow at the Political Asylum/Immigration Representation (PAIR) Project in Boston.
